Randolph
The town of Randolph was named after Peyton Randolph, who was the First President of Continental Congress.
Originally Randolph was part of Braintree, as was, Quincy and Holbrook. Randolph became incorporated in 1793.
Randolph was primarily farm country back in the early years. Some of the farmers started making boots to supplement their income, and Randolph became well known for its boots, and by 1850 was known as one the leading boot producers in the world.
Today Randolph is a mix of residential housing and industrial. It is conveniently located at routes 95/128 and route 24, making for an easy commute.
